We’ve been growing, harvesting and distilling Black Mitcham peppermint for almost three decades, all on our family farm in the Hampshire countryside. Alongside our 300 acres of beautifully fragrant peppermint, lavender and camomile essential oil herbs, we farm 1400 acres of arable land serving the cereals industry.
Our range of herbal teas, made using herbs grown and distilled on the farm, is certified by the RSPB Fair to Nature scheme, recognising the way we partner with nature to bring our products carefully to market.
We'll start the tour with coffee and biscuits then head out on foot into our woodland and fields, led by our Farm Manager Ian Margetts. Ian will explain the sustainable ways in which we manage the land, including creating habitats for nature to thrive. We’ll finish with an opportunity to taste some Summerdown treats, made with our prized Black Mitcham peppermint.
Although the weather wouldn't deter us if it is a bit 'British' it might affect the experience, so we'll have a wet weather alternative. Suitable footwear for uneven ground and muddy tracks is essential.
After booking your tour we will email you within 7 days giving full details of the event. A full refund is available up to 14 days prior to the tour date. If cancelling within 14 days prior to the tour date, an exchange to a different tour of the same value can be offered.
